    Flashback

    刚从上海的sife全国赛回来。。

    这可不是什么大场面,仅仅是漫长人生中的一段小故事,只是有几个moment我会记得真的记得(连菲状)~~~

    23日,16进4的时候,还在广州的jason打电话过来,听着扬声器里传来的声音,隔着一千多公里,真的就好像电视剧似的。他老人家每个presenter都叮嘱了几句,“要笑,要proud,要放松”,本来平静而紧张的准备过程起了波澜,几位女同志们没有忍住唰唰的哭,我非常遗憾的也湿了下眼眶~~于是处于激发态的我们就这样开始了第二轮的比赛,很感动呢~~~

    同一天,在听到第二轮比赛结果的时候,一开始全队人都很惊讶,我简直就不敢相信,然后我们全部就沉默,再而失望,连菲和muca都哭了,我也不知道应该怎么办,只能呆呆地坐在那里,懒得想任何事。mark这个时侯非常非常的supportive,他说:similar things happen in life, you thought you worked very hard, but the result doesn't go well. the only thing we can do is to accept it and let it be. 我想,再简单的道理,也只有经历过才能明白吧,再次感谢mark对我们的支持,没有他我们的上海之旅会少了很多精彩呢~~

    接下来是两顿饭。23号晚上,我们一起去上海老站餐厅大撮一顿消除郁闷,超级fancy的老站吖~~~发现上海很多餐厅和商铺都是在有历史的建筑里经营的,就像沙面的某个餐厅一样,它也有几节古老的火车可以用来用餐。我们是在包间里,劲复古的装修风格啊~我们一帮人加上mark,像一家人在一起吃饭一样,有说有笑,真的好幸福。

    24号的中午,我们在“传说中的”泰迪熊泰国餐厅吃饭,很多teddy bear包围着我们。我突发奇想组织大家来了一次sysu sife teddy bears presentation, 超级搞笑的~练了两个多月的稿子依然很流利的从口中说出来,却突然觉得不是滋味~~我们多么开心啊,看到自己傻傻的照片和视频都笑得不行,但是回到广州以后恐怕不能天天见面了啊~~那更像是一个习惯~~~喜欢跟大家在一起~~~

    写到这里,该给个总结了~~或许这一年下来有许多不如意,有许多的缺陷,不过只需要有这么一段时光有一群人在一起努力去奋斗,结果无论如何都不重要了吧,高诗原开玩笑说~可以不是冠军,但不能没有冠军的心~~~而我,愈发信奉hku学生的那句“搏尽,无悔!”,多青春的口号呀~~~

    最后特别鸣谢frankie,jason,carrie,丹丹,连菲,muca,yanyan,黄菲,雪婷,高诗原,所有sysu sifer!(以上排名不分先后啊~)

    你要按所想的去生活,否则,你迟早会按你生活的去想。

     problem is:怎么知道你觉得想做的不是生活令你想做的?

    是不是发自内心的觉得爽就够了。

    一种是本身就天赋异禀做事无往不利的。

    一种是时时想着天将降大任于斯人也那一套东西遇到困难会很变态的想这是老天垂青我我一定要好好干而且大叫困难向我开炮一类的。

    估计上帝遇到第二种扭曲的精神激励机制也不知道该怎么办了。

    Reading  SkillsLevel  Your Performance
    ReadingHigh(22-30)

    Test takers who receive a score at the HIGH level, as you did, typically understand academic texts in English that require a wide range of reading abilities regardless of the difficulty of the texts.

    Test takers who score at the HIGH level, typically

    • have a very good command of academic vocabulary and grammatical structure;
    • can understand and connect information, make appropriate inferences, and synthesize ideas, even when the text is conceptually dense and the language is complex;
    • can recognize the expository organization of a text and the role that specific information serves within the larger text, even when the text is conceptually dense; and
    • can abstract major ideas from a text, even when the text is conceptually dense and contains complex language.

    Listening  SkillsLevel  Your Performance
    ListeningHigh(22-30)

    Test takers who receive a score at the HIGH level, as you did, typically understand conversations and lectures in English that present a wide range of listening demands. These demands can include difficult vocabulary (uncommon terms, or colloquial or figurative language), complex grammatical structures, abstract or complex ideas, and/or making sense of unexpected or seemingly contradictory information.

    When listening to lectures and conversations like these, test takers at the HIGH level typically can

    • understand main ideas and important details, whether they are stated or implied;
    • distinguish more important ideas from less important ones;
    • understand how information is being used (for example, to provide evidence for a claim or describe a step in a complex process);
    • recognize how pieces of information are connected (for example, in a cause-and-effect relationship);
    • understand many different ways that speakers use language for purposes other than to give information (for example, to emphasize a point, express agreement or disagreement, or convey intentions indirectly); and
    • synthesize information, even when it is not presented in sequence, and make correct inferences on the basis of that information.

    Speaking  SkillsLevel  Your Performance
    Speaking about familiar topicsGood(3.5 - 4.0)

    Your responses indicate an ability to communicate your personal experiences and opinions effectively in English. Overall, your speech is clear and fluent. Your use of vocabulary and grammar is effective with only minor errors. Your ideas are generally well developed and expressed coherently.

    Speaking about campus situationsFair(2.5 - 3.0)

    Your responses demonstrate an ability to speak in English about reading material and experiences typically encountered by university students. You are able to convey relevant information about conversations, newspaper articles, and campus bulletins; however, some details are missing or inaccurate. Limitations of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation at times cause difficulty for the listener. However, they do not seriously interfere with overall communication.

    Speaking about academic course contentFair(2.5 - 3.0)

    Your responses demonstrate that you are able to speak in English about academic reading and lecture material, with only minor communication problems. For the most part, your speech is clear and easy to understand. However, some problems with pronunciation and intonation may occasionally cause difficulty for the listener. Your use of grammar and vocabulary is adequate to talk about the topics, but some ideas are not fully developed or are inaccurate.

    Writing  SkillsLevel  Your Performance
    Writing based on reading and listeningGood(4.0 - 5.0)

    You responded well to the task, relating the lecture to the reading. Weaknesses, if you have any, might have to do with

    • slight imprecision in your summary of some of the main points and/or
    • use of English that is occasionally ungrammatical or unclear.

    Writing based on knowledge and experienceGood(4.0 - 5.0)

    You responded with a well-organized and developed essay. Weaknesses, if you have any, might have to do with

    • use of English that is occasionally ungrammatical, unclear, or unidiomatic and/or
    • elaboration of ideas or connection of ideas that could have been stronger.

    一字头到二字头,十年间的广州奋斗史不足为外人道也。然而相比起十年的经历,我更在乎当下,我渴望每天醒来都有fresh的感觉,人生仍然如同白纸一样等待我的书写。那么就leave all those behind, 每一天都做一个新鲜人,每一天都能对自己说:

    I want change and yes, I can.

    u2-walk on

    And love is not the easy thing
    The only baggage you can bring...
    And love is not the easy thing...
    The only baggage you can bring
    Is all that you can't leave behind

    And if the darkness is to keep us apart
    And if the daylight feels like it's a long way off
    And if your glass heart should crack
    And for a second you turn back
    Oh no, be strong

    Walk on, walk on
    What you got, they can't steal it
    No they can't even feel it
    Walk on, walk on
    Stay safe tonight...

    You're packing a suitcase for a place none of us has been
    A place that has to be believed to be seen
    You could have flown away
    A singing bird in an open cage
    Who will only fly, only fly for freedom

    Walk on, walk on
    What you got they can't deny it
    Can't sell it or buy it
    Walk on, walk on
    Stay safe tonight

    And I know it aches
    And your heart it breaks
    And you can only take so much
    Walk on, walk on

    Home...hard to know what it is if you never had one
    Home...I can't say where it is but I know I'm going home
    That's where the heart is

    I know it aches
    How your heart it breaks
    And you can only take so much
    Walk on, walk on

    Leave it behind
    You've got to leave it behind
    All that you fashion
    All that you make
    All that you build
    All that you break
    All that you measure
    All that you steal
    All this you can leave behind
    All that you reason
    All that you sense
    All that you speak
    All you dress up
    All that you scheme...

    我在这里谨写下对托福考试的一点点感想,权当总结了。

    遥想07年十二月,正是一年放考位之时,我几经辛苦终于在万恶的ets那里掠到了一个微不足道的考位,那叫一个感天动地。

    然后经过了大半年的挥霍和香港交换之类的,时间来到了2008的夏天七月,正是一年三伏天时,我忍受着宿舍极其煎熬的温度,就为了修身养性上那半个月的新东方托福课。怎么说呢,当然有所得,但也让我摸透了如何准备一门专业考试了,由衷的希望各位不要永远依靠培训机构。

    然而我低估了托福考试的难度,经过七月的被动接受知识期后,八月的我一事无成,就在开学前的几天,我终于下定决心不能半途而废,要对自己的选择负责,其实事实是,谁也不愿意跟钱过不去,尤其当那个数字是以千来记的时候。

    九月的计划实际上是在决心与犹豫之前熬过的,在gtd教的教化下,前面半个月基本上能够集中在阅读和听力训练上,其实也就仅限于delta蓝本和og的题目,听力方面其实让我觉得很爽的是新东方老师介绍的TTC课程,虽然它只是用来扩充一些背景知识的,而且是在某个遥远的层面上,但是实在是太适合我这种对什么科目都有点兴趣的人了。新东方李艳君老师介绍的Shadowing是我推荐的一种练习之一,尽管是在口语课上接触到的,却无疑对各方面的能力都有所提高,事实证明很大程度上我的听力依靠的就是做shadowing所培养的能力。

    九月后半段的计划执行那叫一个不力,皆因我不愿去碰口语那part,最终也拖累到了作文的训练,TWE没有完成,综合写作几乎没练过,还有计划中的作文范例书没看,作文方法书推迟阅读,以致于按最后的训练量来说,作文占的时间竟是最少的。这期间专业课的学习也影响了备考,因为那时的我已经确定不执行出国计划了,实变之类的变态课程也需要我努力弄懂。

    于是乎以上的种种造成了刺激的最后两周,基本上在国庆假期的前半段,我的口语练习仍然处于冬眠状态,同时我开始试做模考软件的前两部分,barron的模拟听力加考十分之不人道,但就在第二次我模考听力之时,之前从不做笔记的我被barron慑人的长度吓到开始做笔记了,神奇的是,我竟然能在瞬间达到边做笔记记下前几句的内容边听新句子的境界,从此我非常耐听,我事后只好把它归功于shadowing。当时作文方法书也已经被我浏览了一遍,唯一剩下的就只有。。。口语了。作文不练是可以写完的,然而口语不练是一个字也说不出的,中国人民不能在老美面前这么丢脸吧。还好我在八月三天打鱼两天晒网的准备的口语task1的材料让我轻松不少,能专心练之后的task。终于我不再害怕口语,它让我敞开心扉畅所欲言。。。

    最后我转移到了宿舍,那时我已经可以整套模考这样做下来了。Kaplanbarron是必需品,最后的最后我看了看疑似加考的题目和过往机经,临考的前一晚我还在对着机经练口语。

    10.12,多少年前听到便如雷贯耳的托福就这样到了,早上起床吃东西八点半便出发了,结果在九点钟,离正式考试还有一个小时的时间到了广外北校区,没什么感觉,唯一的感觉就是怎么有点像高考,都是审判日。我心里暗想,反正我也不出国,死就死吧,管你托福,托灾也唬不了我。

    九点半进的考场,提早半个小时进去就开始做题了,大部分人都比我早来啊。这群人的确代表了中国的一个特殊群体,我看到无数的小宇宙在燃烧。熊熊烈火里一种力量在滋生,总有星矢在里面的,尽管很大一部分是炮灰。

    四个小时之后,一点半,我正式完成了托福全部题目。虽说计划只执行了六七成,我总也在某一时间某一程度上成为了出国大军的一员。现在的我基本确定要当地头蛇了。海外业务的扩展就靠你们了,真的,保重。
